ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDNews) — The Enterprise Farmers Market is recognizing the farmers, artisans, bakers and other local vendors who help keep the market a year-round part of the community.

According to the City of Enterprise, more than 50 farmers and vendors participated in the market this year. They were honored Thursday during the market’s annual appreciation luncheon.

The 2026 market season also welcomed 25 new farmers, art and craft vendors and bakers.

Market Manager Birgit Briggs thanked vendors for the dedication they show throughout the year.

“Your presence was more than just a stall filled with fresh produce or handmade goods, and unique arts and crafts,” Briggs said. “It was a living example of dedication, resilience and the power of hard work.”

Briggs also recognized the early mornings spent tending fields, growing crops, making handmade products and preparing for customers, along with the relationships vendors build with the community.

“Every early morning you spend tending to your fields, every careful decision you make to nurture your crops or craft your products, and every smile you share with customers is a testament to your commitment,” Briggs said. “You remind us that farming is not just a job, it is a calling, one that requires vision, patience and an unshakable belief in the value of what you do.”

Enterprise Mayor William E. Cooper also recognized the vendors and encouraged the community to continue supporting them.

“There is a commitment that comes with being a farmer, a vendor or an artisan,” Cooper said. “Many of these individuals have been showing up for our community for years, and that dedication deserves to be recognized. I am proud to see our community continue to show up for them, support their work and purchase the goods they work so hard to provide.”

The Enterprise Farmers Market gives shoppers an opportunity to buy locally grown produce, plants, baked goods, handmade products, arts and crafts and other seasonal items while connecting directly with the people who produce them.

“Because of farmers and artists like you, our community is stronger, healthier and more connected,” Briggs said. “You are proof that local agriculture and the creation of beautiful art is not only possible but powerful, that it can feed bodies, uplift spirits and spark change.”

The Enterprise Farmers Market is open year-round when fresh, seasonal products are available. Regular market days are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 7 to 11 a.m. Hours may be extended for special events.

The peak season for the quantity and variety of fruits and vegetables generally runs from April through August, although fall and winter produce is often available.

The market is located at 525 N. Main St. in Enterprise. For more information, contact Market Manager Birgit Briggs at 334-348-2668.
