DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — Girl Scouts of the USA is adding two new options to its 2027 Girl Scout Cookie lineup, including its first treat made for dogs and its first allergy-friendly cookie.
According to a Girl Scouts of the USA press release, Patch Pals and Girl Scout Sparkables will debut during the 2027 cookie season. Both will be available exclusively online for direct shipping beginning Jan. 12, 2027.
Patch Pals, developed with BARK, are soft-baked, blueberry muffin-flavored cookies made for dogs. Each treat features one of four patch designs inspired by Girl Scout experiences.
Girl Scout Sparkables were developed with Partake for families navigating certain food allergies. The crunchy oatmeal cookies feature chocolate chips and colorful sprinkles.
According to Girl Scouts, Sparkables are made in a facility designed to avoid the nine major food allergens.
The two additions will join traditional Girl Scout favorites, including Thin Mints, Samoas/Caramel deLites and Peanut Butter Patties/Tagalongs.
Girl Scouts said the new products were inspired in part by girls across the country who advocated for more options to meet the needs of their communities.
The Girl Scout Cookie Program helps girls develop skills in goal setting, decision making, money management, working with people and business ethics. Proceeds from cookie sales stay local to support Girl Scout councils and troops.
Girl Scout Cookie season is generally held from January through April, although local sale dates vary by region. Patch Pals and Girl Scout Sparkables are scheduled to launch nationally online Jan. 12.
