ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDNews) — The City of Enterprise is asking drivers, parents and spectators to use extra caution as youth soccer season gets underway and construction continues along Bellwood Road.
According to the city, work is progressing on a new sidewalk along Bellwood Road and George C. Wallace Drive. The project is intended to provide a safer and more connected route for residents and families using the area.
With practices and games underway, the city is asking people to use designated parking areas and not park between construction barrels. Drivers should also avoid stopping along the roadway for drop-off or pickup.
The city also warned people not to move or drive around silt fencing bales surrounding the construction area.
“Slow down, stay alert and watch for pedestrians, children and construction crews,” the city said.
Officials said the area is expected to be especially busy with youth sports, construction and other activities. Drivers and visitors are encouraged to allow extra time when traveling through the area.
