SE Health Forbes Best in State (SE Health)

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — Southeast Health has been named one of Forbes’ Best-in-State Employers in Alabama for the fifth consecutive year.

According to Southeast Health, the recognition includes the health system’s Medical Center, Medical Group, Foundation, Statera and the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine.

The award is presented by Forbes in partnership with Statista Inc. Rankings for America’s Best-in-State Employers 2026 were based on an independent survey of more than 245,000 U.S. employees working for companies with at least 500 employees. More than 2 million employer evaluations were considered.

Rick Sutton, CEO of Southeast Health and president of ACOM, said the recognition is especially meaningful because it is driven by employees.

“Our employees are who create the culture that makes people want to join the Southeast Health team,” Sutton said.

“We are very thankful for our team members who have set a standard that makes Southeast Health a great place to work,” Sutton said. “Having received this recognition five years in a row establishes a trend of excellence our employees demand of themselves to provide our patients and students their very best.”

According to Southeast Health, the final rankings were based on personal employee evaluations and public feedback about each organization.
