MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WDNews) — CrimeStoppers 215-STOP is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to a suspect and arrest in connection with the 2025 shooting death of Ja’richo Hinkle in Montgomery.
Montgomery police said officers responded to a shooting around 5:50 p.m. Aug. 8, 2025, in the 3000 block of Woodley Road. First responders found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to Baptist South Hospital.
Hinkle was critically injured and later died at the hospital, according to CrimeStoppers. The second victim suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
CrimeStoppers announced the increased reward Tuesday as investigators continue seeking information in the case more than a year after the shooting.
Anyone with information about the homicide is asked to contact Montgomery police or CrimeStoppers. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling 334-215-STOP (7867) or 1-833-AL1-STOP (833-251-7867).

CrimeStoppers said callers who wish to remain anonymous should contact the organization rather than police directly.
