EUFAULA, Ala. (WDNews) — Kayak Eufaula is celebrating a first after being named Best of Alabama 2026.
According to Kayak Eufaula, this is the first time the outdoor adventure outfitter has received the statewide recognition.
Located at Lakepoint State Park in Eufaula, Kayak Eufaula offers guided and self-guided kayak tours, standard and fishing kayak rentals, and e-bike rentals for visitors looking to explore Lake Eufaula and regional trails.
The organization credited Rick Thorne, whose vision helped create Kayak Eufaula for the Eufaula community and grow it into an award-winning destination.
“His vision, leadership, and dedication for this community made this moment possible,” Kayak Eufaula shared in announcing the recognition.
The recognition puts a spotlight on a local outdoor attraction and the recreational opportunities available on Lake Eufaula.
