DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — The Black Jacket Symphony is bringing one of rock music’s most influential albums to the Dothan Civic Center with a live performance of Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side of the Moon.”
According to the City of Dothan Performing Arts Department, the performance is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 18, 2026.
The Black Jacket Symphony recreates classic albums note-for-note and sound-for-sound. The group will perform “The Dark Side of the Moon” in its entirety before returning for a second set featuring additional Pink Floyd favorites.
“The performance mirrors the original studio recordings, allowing audiences to experience the album as it was meant to be heard — live, powerful, and emotionally complete,” the Performing Arts Department said.
Organizers said the show offers fans a chance to experience one of rock’s most well-known albums while surrounded by the music and atmosphere of a live performance.
“This special performance promises a rare opportunity for fans to step inside one of rock’s most iconic albums, surrounded by the music, the moment, and the magic of a venue unlike any other.”
The venue presale begins at 10 a.m. Aug. 12 with the code DOTHAN. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Aug. 13.
The Black Jacket Symphony describes its performances as a live concert experience built around recreating classic albums from beginning to end.
