DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle early Friday morning on Montgomery Highway.
According to initial reports, emergency crews responded around 2:25 a.m. to the 3200 block of Montgomery Highway for a pedestrian who had been hit by a vehicle.
First responders reported the pedestrian suffered critical injuries. CPR was in progress at the scene before the patient was transported by ambulance under a trauma alert.
According to initial reports, the northbound lanes of Montgomery Highway from Ross Clark Circle were shut down for a period of time while first responders treated the victim and investigated the scene.
It is unknown at this time what led to the crash or the current condition of the pedestrian. No additional information has been released. The incident remains under investigation.
