DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — Dothan police responded to an apartment complex in the area of Cottonwood Road and Parrish Street Monday afternoon after receiving a report of a person making threats toward a child.
The call was dispatched at approximately 5:10 p.m.
According to information gathered by WDNews, officers encountered a brief standoff as they worked to safely remove the suspect from the home while ensuring the children inside were not harmed.
Witnesses told WDNews they saw a young child being removed from the residence. An adult was seen leaving the home a short time later after officers resolved the situation.
At this time, the circumstances surrounding the incident have not been released, and it is unclear if any arrests have been made or if anyone was injured.
