Dothan, Ala. (WDNews) — Dothan United Soccer Club has announced an upcoming match against Fort Rucker Football Club, scheduled for Saturday, May 9, at Rip Hewes Stadium.
Gates will open at 6 p.m., with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
As part of the event, the club said anyone with an active or retired military ID, along with DOW cardholders, will receive a free Family Four Pack of tickets. Those tickets will be available at the ticket booth the night of the match.
“It is an honor to make this announcement today,” said Aaron McCreight, Dothan United General Manager. “We have had a tremendous relationship with Fort Rucker since our founding. This is an incredible opportunity for our players, coaches and, most importantly, our fans to host the Fort Rucker Football Club at Rip Hewes Stadium.”
“Fort Rucker and the Wiregrass community share a bond that goes back decades, and there is no better way to celebrate that connection than through the spirit of competition,” said Col. Clint Cody, Chief of Staff for the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence, Fort Rucker. “This exhibition match against the Dothan United Dragons is a fantastic opportunity for our Soldiers, families, and veterans to engage with our neighbors in Dothan.
