DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Steve Earle is headed to the DOTHAN Opera House this summer as part of his “51 Years of Songs & Stories” tour.
According to a release from Six String Southern Productions, Earle will perform on Thursday, June 4, 2026. Tickets are reserved seating and start at $55, plus fees. They go on sale to the public Friday, Feb. 20 at 10 a.m. CST through the Dothan Opera House website.
Earle is widely known as one of the most respected songwriters of his generation. A protégé of Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark, he broke through with his 1986 album “Guitar Town,” which topped the country charts and became a genre classic.
His career includes Grammy Awards for albums such as “The Revolution Starts…Now,” “Washington Square Serenade,” and “TOWNES.” In 2023, his 1988 album “Copperhead Road” was named an official state song of Tennessee.
Beyond music, Earle has appeared in television series including “The Wire” and “Treme,” and has written a novel and short story collection. He is also a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2025.
Organizers say the DOTHAN stop will highlight songs and stories spanning more than five decades of Earle’s career.
