DOTHAN — Tone Loc will not appear as Grand Marshal for Saturday’s Krewe of Kolosse Mardi Gras parade after experiencing a medical emergency while traveling to Alabama.
According to a statement released by the Krewe of Kolosse, the artist was traveling from Los Angeles, California, to DOTHAN early Saturday morning when he suffered a medical emergency and was admitted to a hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. No additional details were released out of respect for his privacy.
The organization said Tone Loc was scheduled to serve as Grand Marshal for the Feb. 14, 2026 parade in DOTHAN.
In the statement, the Krewe of Kolosse extended its thoughts and well wishes to Tone Loc and his family. Organizers also said they hope to coordinate a rescheduled appearance in the near future and will provide updates as they become available.
Despite the change, the 11th annual Krewe of Kolosse Mardi Gras parade will continue as planned, with thousands expected to attend.
