ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDNews) — SARCOA will host its 2026 Fraud Summit on Thursday, Jan. 22, offering seniors and caregivers practical tools to protect themselves from scams, financial fraud, and exploitation.
The free event runs from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Enterprise Civic Center and is open to senior citizens and those who help care for them.
Speakers will include representatives from the Alabama Securities Commission, AARP, All In Credit Union, and SHIP/SMP. Presentations will focus on recognizing common scams, safeguarding personal information, and knowing where to turn for help.
Lunch will be provided during the summit. Organizers ask that attendees register in advance by Jan. 12 to help with planning.
The event is part of SARCOA’s ongoing effort to educate older adults across the Wiregrass on staying safe and informed in an increasingly complex financial landscape.
