U.S. NEWS (WDNews) – Stellantis is gearing up to introduce a fully-electric Jeep priced at $25,000 in the United States, according to CEO Carlos Tavares. This move aims to make electric vehicles (EVs) more accessible to a broader range of consumers, addressing the current barrier of high costs.

Automakers are increasingly focusing on affordable EVs to capture a larger market share. Companies like Ford, Tesla, and Volkswagen have announced plans to launch EVs under $30,000 in the coming years, reflecting a significant industry trend.

The announcement came as part of Stellantis’s broader EV strategy, which also includes the upcoming launch of the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S. This premium electric SUV, starting at about $72,000, promises over 300 miles of range, a tech-loaded interior, and rapid acceleration. The Wagoneer S will hit the market this fall, marking the beginning of Stellantis’s EV push in the U.S.
