Tragic Night in Troy: Two Injured, One Dead in Separate Shootings

TROY, Ala.(WDNews) – A tragic night in Troy leaves two women hospitalized and another dead after two separate shootings occurred overnight.

The first incident took place around 11:25 p.m. on Thursday. Troy police responded to reports of gunshots in the 1100 block of U.S. 231 Hwy. Officers found two women with gunshot wounds. They were rushed to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. In connection with this shooting, 20-year-old Anthony Jackson faces charges of second-degree assault, and a 17-year-old male has been charged with discharging a firearm in city limits and reckless endangerment.

Later, at 2:23 a.m. on Friday, police responded to another shooting, this time in the 400 block of Aster Circle. They discovered a 23-year-old woman dead outside a home. Authorities have not released further details on this incident.
