High-Speed Chase Ends in Arrest and Drug Bust on Hwy 179

Holmes County – (WDNews) On May 20, 2024, a routine traffic stop escalated into a high-speed chase on Highway 179. A Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputy attempted to pull over a motorcycle for a traffic violation, but the rider, identified as Mr. Dylan Lowman, refused to comply and sped northbound, reaching speeds over 90 mph.

Despite Mr. Lowman’s dangerous attempts to evade capture, HCSO deputies successfully intercepted him. Upon arrest, a search revealed approximately 57 grams of methamphetamine in his pocket, along with scales and baggies, suggesting drug distribution.

Mr. Lowman now faces multiple charges, including trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, fleeing and eluding, and reckless driving.
