Dothan Man Arrested for Domestic Violence and Resisting Arrest After Altercation at Apartment Complex

Dothan – (WDNews)Dothan Police have arrested and charged Mario Eugene Bianchetti (49) of Dothan with Domestic Violence 1st degree, Attempted Domestic Violence 2nd degree, and resisting arrest following an altercation at a Dothan apartment complex.

The incident occurred on May 4, 2024, around 9:45 pm, when the Dothan Communications Center received a report of a burglary in progress at Oates Estates Apartments (3055 Flynn Road). Officers arrived on the scene to find Bianchetti detained by two bystanders until police arrived.

According to witnesses, Bianchetti had gone to an apartment within the complex to confront a victim with whom he had a prior domestic relationship. Upon kicking open the front door, he was confronted by two friends of the victim, resulting in a physical altercation. During the struggle, one of the friends was bitten by Bianchetti.

Further investigation revealed that Bianchetti had attempted to kick down the door earlier in the day during a separate incident. He was arrested and charged with Attempted Domestic Violence 2nd degree for the earlier attempt, Domestic Violence 1st degree, and resisting arrest.

Bianchetti was transported to the Houston County Jail on a $78,000 bond. Both Bianchetti and the injured friend received medical attention at the scene.
