Wiregrass Area – (WDNews) Today marks the beginning of a colorful project in the Wiregrass area! The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is starting to paint four bridges across three counties.

The painting will start on the US-84 bridges over Claybank Creek in Dale County. It will take about four to five months. Other bridges getting a makeover are on SR-54 over Flat Creek in Geneva County and SR-10 over Pea River in Pike County.

If you’re traveling in these areas, be prepared for possible delays due to lane closures. Safety first! Watch out for workers and equipment.

This project costs about $624,000 and should finish by early 2025. Let’s look forward to brighter bridges in our community!
