YouTube has a New Mandate on (AI)

Starting March 22nd, YouTube creators are mandated to disclose the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in generating realistic-looking videos.

This move is part of YouTube’s broader initiative to enhance transparency and mitigate potential confusion or deception among users.

Upon uploading a video, creators will encounter a checklist prompting them to indicate whether their content features scenarios where a real person appears to perform actions they didn’t, manipulates footage of genuine locations or events, or portrays lifelike scenes that never happened.

The new checklist, integrated into the YouTube Creator Studio, aims to empower creators to be forthcoming about the presence of AI-generated content in their videos, fostering a more informed and trustworthy content environment for viewers.
