Wiregrass – Ayden Nguyen, a student from Enterprise City School, emerged victorious in the Alabama Spelling Bee held in Birmingham over the weekend. The competition, open to students up to the 8th grade, witnessed Ayden’s remarkable spellbinding prowess as he clinched the championship after enduring intense rounds.

Ayden secured his spot in the national limelight by spelling the word ‘dysphagia’ to claim the top honor. His stellar performance guarantees him a coveted spot in the upcoming Scripps National Spelling Bee, slated for May in Washington, D.C. where he will proudly represent Alabama and the Wiregrass area on the national stage.
